Stainless steel cable ties - strong and durable stainless steel cable ties

Our stainless steel cable ties are a strong and durable alternative to classic nylon cable ties. They have a smooth surface and are particularly suitable for demanding environments where high strength, temperature resistance and corrosion resistance are important.

These 8 mm x 500 mm stainless steel cable ties are made of type 304 stainless steel. Thanks to the strong material, the cable tie has a tensile strength of up to 114 kg.

The cable tie is locked by means of a ball in the head. When the end is passed through the locking head, the ball blocks the strap from being pulled back. You can therefore tighten the cable tie further, but it cannot be released backwards.

Characteristics

  • Size: 8 mm x 500 mm
  • Max bundle diameter: 150 mm
  • Tensile strength: 114 kg
  • Material: 304 stainless steel
  • Temperature range: -80 °C to +540 °C
  • Surface: Smooth stainless steel surface

When are our stainless steel cable ties used?

Our stainless steel cable ties are often used in environments where ordinary plastic cable ties are not enough. They are suitable for example in:

  • Marine environment
  • Installation technology, such as ventilation, cooling, AC and solar cell installations
  • Automotive industry
  • Chemical industry
  • Environments with high temperatures or harsh weather conditions

How to use stainless steel cable ties

For quick and easy installation, a special cable tie bar is recommended for stainless steel cable ties.

First, place the cable tie around the item to be fastened and hand-tighten as far as possible. Then insert the end of the cable tie into the pliers and tighten the tie by squeezing and releasing the handle until the cable tie is tight. When the strap is tight enough, squeeze the handle fully and the pliers will cut off the excess material.

As stainless steel cable ties have a smooth surface and are made of flat stainless steel, standard nylon cable tie pliers do not work optimally. Therefore, always use pliers designed for stainless steel cable ties.
